In its efforts to consolidate development efforts in Palestinian refugees camps in Lebanon, the UNRWA established two coordination committees in the camps of Baddawi (North Lebanon) and Bourj el Barajneh (Beirut area). Each committee is formed of representatives of NGOs active inside the camps.

...for development was responsible for designing, implementing and following-up on 12 workshops for 2 refugees camps coordination committees for development.

The workshops topics were:

UNDP initiated this project to raise teachers’ awareness about peace building and build their capacities with regards to conflict management and empower them so that they can transfer the acquired knowledge and skills to their students.

"Center for Active Citizenship" and “…for development”, designed and delivered a training curriculum focusing on: The values of tolerance, diversity, non-discrimination, democracy, non-violence, Conflict Analysis, Conflict Management, Conflict Prevention and Conflict Intervention.

UN Habitat initiated this project in order to build the capacities of 90 representatives of local elected leaders, municipal staff, and community volunteers.

The Office of Transition Initiatives, Lebanon, initiated a capacity building program targeting the management and volunteers of their partner CBOs in Lebanon. The objective of this program is to establish for sustainable relations with viable partners and invite them to institutionalize capacity building mechanisms within their respective internal structures.
